Our first stop will be the charming village of Chinchero, where you will visit the Chinchero Archaeological Site and enjoy a unique demonstration of traditional Andean textile weaving. This is one of the best places in the region to purchase high-quality handmade textiles.

Continuing our tour, we will visit the Maras Salt Mines and the fascinating agricultural terraces of Moray, two of the Sacred Valley’s most iconic attractions. The Maras Salt Mines feature more than 3,000 salt ponds that have been used since Inca times, while Moray is renowned for its circular terraces that demonstrate the Incas’ advanced understanding of microclimates and agricultural experimentation. At the scheduled time, you will board the bus that ascends to the legendary Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu. After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will have free time to further explore the charming town of Aguas Calientes. You may choose to visit the butterfly sanctuary, relax in the famous hot springs, or simply stroll through the town and enjoy its unique atmosphere. You will also have time to have lunch on your own before your scheduled departure.

At the designated time, please make your way to the train station and board the Vistadome train for your return journey from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo. The trip takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes and offers a memorable travel experience. During the journey, you will enjoy live performances of traditional Andean dances featuring colorful costumes, onboard service with complimentary beverages and snacks, and attentive hospitality that enhances the scenic ride through the breathtaking landscapes of the Andes.

Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, our transportation will take you back to the city of Cusco. During the afternoon, you may take advantage of your Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTG) to visit some of the museums included in the pass.

At 6:30 p.m., you will have the opportunity to attend a live folkloric performance at the Qosqo Native Art Center, where traditional music and dances from different regions of Peru are showcased. This cultural experience is also included with your Tourist Ticket.

After the show, return to your hotel in Cusco for the evening.

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin our guided tour of the Imperial City of Cusco. Cusco is a fascinating destination that beautifully blends Andean and Spanish cultures, creating a unique historical and cultural atmosphere.

Our tour begins with a visit to the Convent of Santo Domingo, built atop the foundations of Qoricancha, the most important Temple of the Sun in the Inca Empire. This remarkable site showcases an extraordinary combination of Inca stonework and colonial architecture.

Next, we will visit the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuamán, one of the finest examples of Inca engineering and architecture. Its massive stone walls, perfectly fitted together without mortar, continue to amaze visitors from around the world.

After breakfast, we will drive to the starting point of the hike. The trek to Rainbow Mountain takes approximately two hours, during which you will be surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes and spectacular mountain scenery.

Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, is one of Peru’s most remarkable geological wonders. Its vibrant bands of color were formed by mineral sedimentation over millions of years, creating a truly unique natural masterpiece. Located high in the Cusco region, this colorful mountain offers an unforgettable visual experience and an exciting challenge for hiking enthusiasts.
